Five Petal Flower Bookmark

Materials
o Red Heart or similar worsted weight yarn
o Stitch marker
o Scissors
o Size I hook
Notes
*Do not sl st unless the pattern says to.
*This pattern is done in US terms.
*Quick pattern: Less than 10 minutes
Abbreviations
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
st = stitch
sl st = slip stitch
treble = treble crochet
Ch 2
In second st from hook, 10 sc, sl st to beginning sc.
*Ch 3, in next sc crochet 1 dc, 1 treble, 1 dc. Ch 3 and sl st to next sc.
Repeat from * until you have 5 petals. Sl st last ch 3 to bottom of ch 3 of first petal.
To form tail, ch 40-50. Do not fasten off, but leave a large loop to create tassel. Cut the yarn and use the yarn to gather 6-8 long pieces of yarn. Fold them in half and slip the pieces into the large loop until it is in the center of the halved yarn. Close the large loop and tie a knot using a piece of the halved yarn. Snip the long tail off. Cut the closed loop (halved yarn). Use the snipped tail and tie it around the dangling yarn near the top to create a tassel. Trim the tassel.
